17 Bathroom Things To Declutter Today!
It is time to declutter the bathroom when you can’t find what you are looking for easily – especially during the morning rush.
Some people are so fortunate to have bathrooms the size of my great room, with tons of built-in storage systems! Many of us though have regular-size bathrooms and often too much stuff.
I love having just one thing out in the open in my bathroom and this item is a clear container of clear liquid soap on my sink top. This means it takes me about one minute to clean my bathroom sink and surrounding surfaces.
Expired medications & makeup
Did you know there are things in the bathroom that have expiration dates?
Yes, medicine for sure has expiration dates clearly written on most labels. Yet we keep all kinds of expired medicines.
The following is from the FDA website-Expired medical products can be less effective or risky due to a change in chemical composition or a decrease in strength. Certain expired medications are at risk of bacterial growth and sub-potent antibiotics can fail to treat infections, leading to more serious illnesses and antibiotic resistance.
There is a lot of interesting information on that FDA page including how to discard expired medications.
Did you know makeup has an expiration date? I got a nasty eye infection once upon a time from using my mascara. I now know to toss mascara after 6 months.
Why declutter your bathroom?
Having a cluttered bathroom makes keeping the bathroom clean a constant challenge. Any cluttered area operates less efficiently. Plus it looks terrible.
You know that in a chaotic, cluttered, small space it can be hard to easily find the item you need. This causes frustration and wastes lots of time. There has got to be a better way! Ah, there is! Declutter your bathroom.
These inconveniences that frustrate us in the bathroom usually occur first thing in the morning when we are pressed for time and trying to get out the door. Setting your day up this way is not a winning plan, rather it can start a downward spiral of stress.

Can’t have just one.” says Marj. Marj wonders if growing up with a fanatically clean Jewish mom means her decluttering and organizational skills are in her blood.
