I have decided to postpone the Declutter-A-Thon Challenge š so that I can take my declutterbuzz peeps in a new direction: Mental Clarity!
I believe that Mental Clarity is the key to ANY type of decluttering; physical or emotional. I have been too focused on helping people with physical decluttering and I know from experience that in order to be successful, MENTAL DECLUTTERING MUST COME FIRST.
For the past few years, Iāve been working to fulfill a dream that I kept on the back burner during my 30-year career as an artist. While I always incorporated elements of this passion into my art classes ā teaching about the connection between physical and mental clutter, identifying what matters most, and living authentically ā Iām now ready to fully embrace this calling.
My dream has always been to help people get unstuck, to stop wasting money and energy on:
- Expensive, ineffective āsolutionsā that create more problems than they solve
- Trendy organizational products that merely hide clutter rather than address it
- Overpriced stress-management programs that miss the fundamental issues
Thatās why I created DeclutterBuzz. The name reflects my core belief: anything that stands between me and peace is clutter. And believe me, Iāve faced plenty of obstacles to my own serenity throughout my life!
Forty years ago, I discovered principles from two transformative programs that changed everything for me. I can tell you with absolute certaintyāthere is no magic formula. Creating a truly āclutter-freeā life takes time and commitment. But I can also promise you this: every frustration, tantrum, and tear has been worth it.
Lately, Iāve felt uneasy about DeclutterBuzzās direction. After much reflection, Iām launching DeclutterBuzz 2.0, steering this community toward what I know in my heart will help more people. Whether your clutter manifests as a chaotic kitchen counter or recurring negative thoughts, the principles for addressing it remain remarkably similar.
Over four decades, Iāve developed daily practices (now mostly unconscious habits!) that keep all forms of clutter at bay, allowing me to live what feels like a magical life. When I began this journey, the world seemed calmer than it is today. Now, more than ever, we need both the camaraderie of like-minded people and stress-free environments to help each other manage our collective clutter.
I hope youāll join me for DeclutterBuzz 2.0, as Iām determined to help you experience life with less of whatever clutter is weighing you down.
Check out my first lesson in my new DeclutterBuzz 2.0 Quick Win Guide! Print it out, if you like, and post it where you will see it often.
I have one request! Please tell me what would help you most right now ā today. What kind of clutter is disrupting your days? I want to hear from you while I am adding more lessons and putting the finishing touches on my new decluttering approach.
With peace and clarity,
Marj
